Finding Scholarships: There are Millions of Dollars Available to You!

Sep 20, 2013

As I reflect back on when I graduated high school, we didn’t have it this easy.  The web has made it a million times easier to search and apply for scholarships and financial aid.  For all those who still don’t know where to go, let us help you a little bit :-)!  The largest Internet information sources are:

College Board

The Princeton Review

Good sites to find financial aid for minority students include:

Gates Millennium Scholars

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Japanese American Citizens League

LULAC-League of United Latin American Citizens

American Indian College Fund

United Negro College Fund

Minority On-Line Information Service

Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute

Keep in mind that colleges themselves provide many of the scholarships and grants received by students. Check with the financial aid office at your school for scholarship opportunities. You can also visit College MatchMaker for more information on the average scholarships awarded by many schools.

Good luck! XO
